Grains
Since our bodies run on glucose, grains should comprise 40 – 60% of a person’s daily food intake.
Fresh
vegetables
There
are over 100 different types of edible vegetables.
There are three main groups of vegetables - leafy, root and round.
It is always best to eat vegetables in season and preferably local.
Beans and sea vegetables
Beans are a great source of protein and fiber. Combined with grain, they make up the total amount of amino acids a person needs.
They are
also good for your kidneys and complexion.
Soups and broths comprise 5–10% of food intake. Soups containing miso (soy bean paste), vegetables, and beans are acceptable.

Check out these healthy sweeteners that can be used instead of sugar and artificial sweeteners.
What does that mean? It means cooking and eating food that is not processed or contains chemicals, preservatives or additives. It means taking time for meals and cooking again! In today’s society the term “homemade” means from a box or a mix. In order to improve one’s health you have to cook and eat food that is nourishing to the body. Microwaving a TV dinner or feeding your family a fast-food meal is not nourishing.
We can take back our health by feeding our bodies what it craves and deserves…grains, vegetables, beans, soups and fruit….real food that is delicious too! We can change the direction of our heath in just 10 days! Are you willing to make that change?
